Reaching a Larger Audience by leveraging WordPress' flexible content model.

Project

Faith World Outreach Church
Non-profit
FWOchurch was looking to expand their reach. We achieved this with HLS multistream and AI language translation on a WordPress stack.

The Challenge

FWO Church’s website was originally built on Joomla, a platform that had become increasingly fragile and difficult to maintain. As Joomla released updates, features kept breaking, making it nearly impossible for volunteers to manage without constant developer intervention.

The organization needed:

  • A stable, low-maintenance platform that non-technical volunteers could easily update.
  • Aesthetic consistency, preventing design degradation over time.
  • Live streaming capabilities to extend reach beyond physical services.
  • Secure payment processing for online giving.
  • A highly secure hosting environment to eliminate security risks.

The Solution

Jirehnet took a methodical approach, ensuring the new website was both powerful and volunteer-friendly.

1. WordPress Migration & Bricks Builder Rebuild

  • Transitioned the site from Joomla to WordPress, leveraging Bricks Builder for a fast, flexible, and resilient editing experience.
  • Built a clean, structured layout that maintains its design integrity, even when updated by volunteers.
  • Ensured drag-and-drop ease while protecting critical design elements from accidental changes.

2. Custom Church-Specific Features

  • YouTube Live Streaming Integration – Services are now seamlessly broadcasted from the website, allowing for remote participation.
  • Online Giving & Payments – Integrated a secure payment gateway for tithes, donations, and event payments.
  • Custom Post Types (CPTs) – Created dedicated content structures for sermons, events, and ministry updates, ensuring long-term organization and accessibility.

3. Static Deployment with Netlify for Security & Performance

  • Deployed the website on Netlify’s global CDN, ensuring fast load times, high availability, and ironclad security.
  • Implemented a CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) workflow, allowing updates to be made in WordPress while publishing a static, unhackable version of the site.
  • Why this matters? Traditional WordPress sites are dynamic and can be vulnerable to attacks. With this static deployment method, there is no direct attack surface—meaning the site is virtually unhackable.

The Results

The transition to WordPress, combined with a static deployment strategy, transformed FWO Church’s online presence:

Stability & Low Maintenance – No more Joomla headaches; the site is now easy for volunteers to manage.
Security at Scale – With a static CDN deployment, attacks are virtually impossible, ensuring long-term reliability.
Blazing-Fast Performance – Hosted via Netlify’s global CDN, the site loads instantly from anywhere in the world.
Seamless Live Streaming – Church services are now effortlessly broadcasted through YouTube, expanding outreach.
Optimized Giving & Payments – Donations and online transactions are now secure, seamless, and user-friendly.
